Detailed information

Made Smarter South East is a government-funded programme to drive growth amongst the South East's manufacturing SMEs and makers. The programme has been developed to help makers boost productivity and increase their competitive edge through the adoption of new industrial technologies and tools.

The Made Smarter team will help you identify the right technologies and tools, and how best to use them to make everyday improvements to your business.

Our experts will provide advice, guidance and support to ensure you have the right technology to help improve efficiency, reduce downtime, cut costs, and boost competitiveness.

Match-funding of up to £20,000 and up to 50% is available to help fund the new technologies you’ll need.
Leadership and workforce training is also available to help ensure that your business reaps the full benefits of the new technologies.

It's also possible to bring on board digital native talent with a student internship, funded up to 300 hours.

The programme is open to manufacturing SMEs based in the South East, covering the following areas: Berkshire, Brighton & Hove, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Medway, Oxfordshire, Solent, Surrey.

To be eligible your business must be an SME with fewer than 250 employees, have an annual turnover below £44m, and have received no more than £315,000 in subsidies and state aid in the last three years.
